New Look - Ballad
So 2011 has brought us more ‘duos and trios and loners with laptops, with their ears to the ground, squeezing the air and feeling for the future’s pulse’ (quoted from drownedinsoundcloud) than ever before. The band’s name, ‘New Look’ says it all, and as pleasant and as ultra modern as it sounds, ‘Ballad’, is one example of many which shows that bands who call themselves ‘future pop’ are actually present pop. Everyone’s at it, and I can’t say I’m complaining. It’s my favorite type of sound, and it’s arguably the sound of the year. Respect to Kate Bush the predecessor - sehr sicher (very safe).
